We were delighted to announce Cos-Con partnering up with Granite City Con to blow the lid off cosplay in Aberdeen in 2018.
We brought a whole bunch of cosplay awesomeness (and our usual shenanigans) to the con, with panels, workshops, activities, masquerade, and competitions - including the Cos-Con Cosplay Championship!
GCCC's Cosplay schedule climaxed with the Championship, an on-stage showcase of the best, self-made costumes of the weekend. Competition was formidable, with some exceptional creations and performances on display. Judges decided on an overall Champion as well as winners for different crafting disciplines.
Boast Board Competition

Up for grabs once more was the Cos-Con Boast Board Award. Upon entry to GCCC, all attendees had placed in their hands a series of tokens to award to their favourite Cosplayers. At the end of the day, whoever earned the most tokens was announced as the winner!
There were no criteria for entry, simply mingle with other attendees and be awesome!!
Masquerades

On the cosplay stage we hosted an open entry Masquerade, with no entry requirements. Entry to our masquerades is on the day and is simply a chance to have some fun up on stage and bring your character to life!
Masquerades are all about having fun and enjoying the limelight on stage, and as such there will be no judging or prizes.
The Masquerade was followed by the announcement of the Boast Board Competition Winner.
