On Saturday, we will have FOUR costume based competitions, and as long as your costume is predominantly hand made (around 75% your own work), you are eligible to sign up for any ONE of these competitions on the day.

Competitor Eligibility:
To be eligible to enter the Remnant Kings Fabrics Competition each entry needs to meet the following criteria:
Registration:
There will only be a limited number of spaces available and it will be on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Entries will be taken on the day of the event, a signup sheet will be made available at the Cosplay Desk at 10:00am and will remain open until 11:45am or whenever the spaces are filled. You will only be permitted to sign-up for yourself; signing up somebody else will not be permitted.
Check in: All entrants must be available at least 15 min before the start of the competition at the Competition Location (You will be told where upon registration)
Entrants will be given their appearance order and instructed where to line up.
Entrants not in place 15mins prior to the start of the Competition will forfeit their entry.
Competition Format:
The Panel of Judges will be made up of a selection of professionals, creators and cosplayers, experienced in this field.
Each participant will be awarded marks based on:
Entrants will be introduced and will then make their way to the competition stage. They will have up to one minute to impress the Judges and the audience by displaying their creation.
Performances are permitted, but Cos-Con will be unable to provide any music, microphones or any technical assistance.
Once all entrants have appeared the Judges will be given time to discuss the entries amongst themselves.
The Judges will ask their favourite costumer to return to the stage for final evaluation. There will be a brief interview for each finalist from the judges.
After present presenting your costume on stage, the Judges will have time to inspect your work up close. They will each be allowed to ask 1 question about your work and how you created it.
This will be happening on stage and will be as much for the audience's benefit as the Judges. Be prepared and ready to answer questions about every element of your costume, you worked hard, so make sure everybody knows it.
Finalist will have one more opportunity to take centre stage to impress the judges and the audience.
The Judges will then award the winner’s prizes:

Judges decisions are final. Contestants will not be permitted to view or ask about how they or other contestants were marked. Judges will be allowed to give you feedback or constructive criticisms if they wish to do so. If a judge wishes not to speak about your entry please respect their right to do so.
Dressing Room / Cloakroom:
Attendees will have access to a room to use for costume changes which Competition entrants will be given priority to, this will be monitored by a member of the Cos-Con team throughout the weekend. There will be a cloakroom on the ground floor which will also be fully attended.

- Have a valid Cos-Con 2016 event ticket for the day of the competition.
